• use action words

Structure of the text:

• Orientation is to give information about who, what, when, and where.
• Report of events or activity to tell what happened in what sequence
• Re-Orientation to show personal comment
  

Announcement

Definition
Announcement is something said, written, or printed to make know that has happened or (more often) what will happen.

In writting announcement, keep the folowing pants the title/type of event, date/time, and contact person

We can find announcement in television, radio, newspaper, wall magazines in school, etc.

The text organitation:

2. Content

Characteristic of announement:

• Use simple present tense
• Use simple future tense
• Use simple past tense

Giving Instruction

Definition
Giving Instruction is an expression that is used in order that other person what we instruct or request.

Instruction isrequire the person receiving them to do something, or to stop doing it. Instruction are directly addresed to the person who has to do them. There for instruction, are one of the few types of english sentences that do not ned a subject. The subject is ussually "you"

The pattern of giving instruction:

1. Use verb I (move! ; jump!)
2. Use be (be carefull! ; be quick! ; be a good student!)
3. Use don't (don't go! ; don't cry! ; don't touch me! ; don't move!)

• Don't + verb (don't let me)
• Don't + be (don't be late! ; don't be naugthy!)
  

Sympathy Expression

Definition
Sympathy Expression is an expression or feelings of pity and sorrow when we know and see someone or people are unlucky or have trouble and in nad condition.

How can we give sympathy expression to someone??
We express it directly to him/her orally or we can use a letter or card by post also by short message service (SMS), e-mail, television, radio and newspaper if he/she who got the trouble is far from us.

Several expression of sympathy:

• I'm sorry to hear that
• OH, awful
• Oh, dear
• How pity you are
• How terrible
• I'd like to express my deepest condolences

Gaining Attention adalah cara seseorang untuk mendapatkan respon atau perhatian dari responden.
