Simple Present is used:
1. I smoke (habits)
2. I work in London (unchanging)
3. London is a large city (general truth)
4. You walk for two hundred meter, then you turn left (giving instruction)
5. Your exam start at 9 a.m. (fixed arrangement)
The Pattern:
A. Verbal Sentences
(+) S + Verb I + Complement
(-) S + don't/doesn't + Verb I + Complement
(?) Do/does + S + Verb I + Complement
Example:
(+) I like mango
(-) I don't like mango
(?) Do you like mango?
B. Non Verbal Sentences
(+) S + to be + noun/adjective/adverb
(-) S + to be + not + noun/adjective/adverb

Adverb of Time:
